RESPONSIBILITIES

We're looking for experienced programmers to join our team in Malta to work on an unannounced title.

We use our own in-house AAA Engine (4A Engine) and the variety of tasks for this position is quite diverse, including GUI (editor or ingame), physics, sound, architecture, gameplay, AI, graphics, animation, networking, porting to new platforms and many more.

You will support our current features, work on new ones, make better tools and, in general, work with us on making everything better until we reach absolute perfection, which is never.

REQUIREMENTS

  • 3+ years of professional experience
  • Proficient c++ knowledge

  • Deep understanding of algorithm complexity

  • Experience with any 3D and/or game engine or experience with any known 3D modelling software (Max, Maya, Modo, Blender etc.)

  • Basic understanding of PC architecture

  • Performance minded development and optimization skills

RESPONSIBILITIES

Develop new and enhance existing graphics technologies (rendering, lighting, shadows, special FX, culling, scene management and others) to help achieve state-of-the-art visuals.

Work with others to expand our next-generation graphics pipeline including advanced lighting and rendering techniques, and special effects.

Experience in identifying bottlenecks and optimizing existing / future rendering code.

TECHNICAL ANIMATOR

 
 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work directly with animators, designers, modelers, and programmers to deliver excellent character movements, facial animations, mechanics and cutscenes.
  • Work with programmers to improve toolkit, systems, establish rigging standards.
  • Create rigs and skinning for animated organic and mechanical objects.
  • Proactively come up with ideas on how to improve animation pipeline.
  • Troubleshoot complex problems as they arise and construct solutions to unforeseen design problems in a timely manner.
  • Instructing colleagues and documenting necessary information.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Understanding of realtime skinning, IK, physics limitations and possibilities.

  • Understanding of real-world kinematics and ability to replicate physical movement using a mix of simulation tools and baked skeletal animations.

  • Ability to come up and utilize skinning tricks (folded shoulders, 2-bone ropes).

  • Familiarity with mocap and hand created animations.

  • Experience with human, exotic, and mechanical characters/objects.

  • A passion for games.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in rigging, animation, skinning, weighting and physics.

  • At least one shipped title on consoles.

  • Proven experience in applying modern interactive character animation techniques such as blend-trees, HFSMs, IK, and partial-body animation.

  • Excellent communicator with strong verbal and written English skills (Russian/Ukrainian is a plus).

3D CONCEPT ARTIST

 
 

RESPONSIBILITIES

We are seeking a 3D Concept Artist to join our team. The job will require refining 3D elements (both modeled and taken from game engine) and with 2D tools to illustrate ideas that represent different moments from game experience. These include environments, characters, vehicles, and action sequences. 3D Concept Artist works closely with the Art Director or Creative Director to create images or boards that convey the look and feel of a game or experience.

  • Create all types of 2D graphical artwork and marketing material for running projects – posters, advertisements, logos, decals, etc.
  • Make and craft screenshots.
  • Create stills for videos.
  • Create storyboards.
  • Work with post-processing and color-grading tools.

REQUIREMENTS

  • An exceptional understanding of mood, lighting, composition, color-coding and architecture with a keen eye toward form, shape, structure, and silhouette regarding illustration and design.

  • At least 3 years experience in Illustration and concept art for games.

  • Knowledge of Photoshop and other color grading tools.

  • The ability to carry an idea from the conceptual phase to the finished illustration and an understanding of translating these ideas to real-time game content.

  • Work closely with other Game Designers and Creative Director to bring the game’s vision to reality.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Development of the basic underlying principles of the game (game mechanics, levels, etc.).

  • Usage of the in-house technology (4A Games Engine) for creation of the game.

  • Creation and control of execution of all the essential tasks assigned to the other departments using a bug tracking system (Jira).

  • Testing of game content created by the designer himself and others.

  • Creation of necessary accompanying documents for the generated and controlled tasks.

  • Experience of work for other game companies in the game/level design position (at least 5 years).

  • Actual experience with or knowledge of other AAA game engines, Licensed or Proprietary.

  • Extensive game mod creation experience.

Convey the look and feel of our games

PRE-VIS ARTIST / VIDEO GENERALIST

 
 

RESPONSIBILITIES

We are seeking a Pre-vis Artist / Video Generalist to join our team. The job will require working in our game engine, produce previs sequences with an emphasis on camera, staging, composition, timing and functionality of a sequence.
Refining 3D elements (both modeled and taken from game engine) and with 2D tools to illustrate ideas that represent different moments from game experience. These include environments, characters, vehicles, and action sequences. Pre-vis Artist / Video Generalist works closely with the Art Director or Creative Director to create videos that convey the look and feel of a game or experience.
Work closely with the Art Director, 3-D animation teams and members of the production team to create a memorable story through camera work, building composition and further footages edit, that will resonate with the audience.

  • Use any software and methods to create good quality still and animation renders.
  • Make pre-vis animations.
  • Create storyboards.
  • Do color correction, post-processing and color-grading of stills and animations.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Knowledge of film-making principles especially in regards to camera choices, clear staging, and continuity cutting.

  • Knowledge of cinematic language, camera terminology, and visual story-telling.

  • Advanced knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Premiere, After Effects (including Element 3D, Trapcode Suit, etc.) & Photoshop.

  • 3+ years of experience with Cinema 4D or similar by result 3D package.

  • Understanding of modelling, shaders, lighting, animation and PBR rendering (experience with Octane or Redshift renderers is a big plus).

  • Strong understanding of 3D compositing.

  • In-depth knowledge of typography and image compositing.

  • Expert understanding of digital video and audio file formats including codecs and compression/encoding.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Familiarity with software development lifecycles, bug/case tracking software and procedures, version control and other collaboration tools.
