VEGETATION ARTIST NEW IP

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

We are looking for a talented Vegetation Artist to join our team. In this role, you’ll craft highly realistic and meticulously detailed vegetation that brings our biomes to life. You’ll collaborate closely with Level Artists, Concept Artists, Designers, and the Art Director to create believable ecosystems that support both gameplay and visual storytelling, using procedural systems and high-quality asset creation to enhance our environments. 

  • Create a wide variety of realistic foliage assets and materials for different biomes and ecosystems. 

  • Collaborate closely with the Environment Lead and wider art team to ensure vegetation aligns with the game’s visual direction and style. 

  • Assist in refining levels from a vegetation perspective, maintaining consistency, readability, and visual impact. 

  • Contribute ideas for improving vegetation assets and helping create cohesive, immersive biomes. 

  • Conduct research and help maintain internal documentation and references to ensure accurate in-game environments. 

  • Use photogrammetry workflows to produce high-quality vegetation assets. 

REQUIREMENTS

  • 3+ years of experience in AAA game development, focusing on environment or vegetation art. 

  • Ability to create realistic, detailed vegetation assets for real-time rendering. 

  • Proficiency with SpeedTree, Maya/3ds Max, ZBrush, Photoshop, Substance Painter, and baking tools. 

  • Understanding of photogrammetry workflows and integrating scanned data into game-ready assets. 

  • Strong grasp of forms, shapes, structures, and silhouettes in natural environments. 

  • Familiarity with real-time pipelines and performance optimization for realistic vegetation. 

  • Collaborative mindset, comfortable working in a multidisciplinary team. 

  • In-depth knowledge of pipeline requirements of real-time game art 

  • Able to work creatively as part of a large or small group 

 

Preferences

  • Experience with modern game engines (Unreal Engine, Unity, etc.). 

  • Hands-on experience with photogrammetry tools and techniques. 

  • Experience with Houdini for procedural systems, asset scattering, and creating cohesive biomes 

  • Good English communication skills and a passion for high-quality visuals. 

  • A genuine love for games, storytelling, and world-building.
