SENIOR UI PROGRAMMER

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

We are looking for an experienced Senior UI Programmer to join our team and help deliver high-quality user interfaces for our proprietary 4A Engine. You will work closely with designers, artists, and technical teams to build intuitive, performant, and polished UI systems that enhance the developer's experience. 

  • Design, develop, and maintain UI systems and features for the proprietary 4A Engine. 

  • Collaborate with UI/UX Designers and Artists to transform concepts into high-quality in-game interfaces. 

  • Develop scalable UI architecture and reusable frameworks that support multiple game systems. 

  • Work closely with engine, and tools programmers to implement front end interfaces for configuring game systems. 

  • Maintain high standards of code quality, readability, and maintainability. 

  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex UI-related issues throughout development. 

  • Mentor junior programmers through code reviews and technical guidance. 

  • Write and maintain technical documentation for UI systems and workflows. 

REQUIREMENTS

  • 5+ years of professional programming experience in game development. 

  • Strong C++ programming skills. 

  • Experience designing and implementing intuitive user interfaces for game engine editors, tools or multimedia software 

  • Experience implementing responsive, user-friendly interfaces. 

  • Strong understanding of UX, usability principles - hierarchy and repeatable patterns, UI clarity and flow of usage. 

  • Experience building clear, intuitive interfaces for complex tools. 

  • Excellent written and spoken English communication skills. 

  • Self-motivated with the ability to take ownership of features from concept to completion. 

Preferences

  • Experience implementing UI for game systems. 

  • Familiarity with DCC tools for art/media content production  

  • Experience building data-driven UI frameworks. 

  • Experience working with fonts generation and text processing. 

  • Familiarity with source control systems such as Perforce. 

  • Experience mentoring engineers. 

  • Passion for video games and delivering exceptional player experiences.
