IMMERSE INTO THE WORLD OF DYNAMIC ASSETS
SENIOR PROCEDURAL TECHNICAL ARTIST
RESPONSIBILITIES
We’re looking for a Senior Procedural Technical Artist with deep expertise in Houdini or similar procedural systems to join our team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for developing and optimizing procedural workflows, building tools and systems that empower artists, and bridging the gap between art and technology to bring dynamic game worlds to life.
You’ll collaborate closely with Art, Tech Art, and Design teams to ensure our procedural tools and pipelines support both the creative vision and technical performance of the project.
Design, develop, and maintain procedural systems to generate environments, assets, and effects using Houdini, Blender Geometry Nodes, or similar tools.
Build custom tools, scripts, and digital assets (HDAs) to streamline production and enhance artist efficiency.
Collaborate with environment artists, tech artists, and game designers to integrate procedural solutions seamlessly into the game engine and pipeline.
Optimize asset generation processes to meet performance, scalability, and visual quality targets.
Proactively identify and solve technical and workflow challenges across the art production pipeline.
Document tools, processes, and best practices to ensure team-wide consistency and technical clarity.
Provide technical support and training for artists using procedural systems.
Research new procedural methods, emerging technologies, and optimization techniques to evolve the studio’s toolset.
REQUIREMENTS
3+ years of experience in game development and modelling.
Strong experience with any procedural creation software, with a preference for Houdini.
Strong understanding and sense of graphical shape, form, and silhouette.
Experience in Python or similar scripting tools.
Knowledge of engine tooling and automation.
Knowledge of real-time rendering engines, resource limits, and optimization.
Experience with large asset authoring.
Ability to work with organic structures.
Ability to work with complex layouts.
Able to work creatively as part of a large or small group.
Good communication skills in English.
Knowledge of modern AAA pipelines.
Preferences
Technical or art education.
Experience with game engines such as Unreal, Unity, etc
Knowledge of additional software is a plus (SpeedTree, Zbrush, Blender, etc.).
Knowledge of open-world creation and open-world games are a plus.
Experience with shader and material graphs is a plus.
Experience with tech art related topics is a plus.
