SENIOR EDITOR PROGRAMMER

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

We are looking for an experienced Senior Editor Programmer to join our team and help evolve the editor and content creation pipeline for our proprietary 4A Engine. You will design, develop, and maintain robust editor systems that enable designers, artists, and technical teams to create game content efficiently while improving production workflows across the studio. 

  • Design, develop, and maintain editor systems and tools for the proprietary 4A Engine. 

  • Own the architecture and long-term development of editor features and content creation workflows. 

  • Collaborate closely with designers, artists, and technical artists to identify workflow improvements and develop new tools. 

  • Implement and maintain editor tools and systems for level design and terrain authoring, animation and VFX workflows, AI behavior and navigation, physics simulation, visual scripting, and asset management. 

  • Design automation tools for development infrastructure to improve productivity 

  • Troubleshoot complex editor and pipeline issues and deliver reliable long-term solutions. 

  • Mentor junior programmers through code reviews, technical guidance, and knowledge sharing. 

  • Write and maintain technical documentation for editor systems and workflows. 

REQUIREMENTS

  • 5+ years of professional game development experience. 

  • Strong C++ programming skills. 

  • Experience developing editor tools for proprietary or custom game engines. 

  • Strong understanding of software architecture, and performance optimization. 

  • Experience building content creation pipelines and workflow automation. 

  • Excellent debugging and problem-solving skills. 

  • Experience working closely with multidisciplinary development teams. 

  • Excellent written and spoken English communication skills. 

  • Self-motivated with the ability to take ownership of systems from concept to completion. 

Preferences

  • Experience building end-to-end asset pipelines, from import and processing to serialization and baking. 

  • Experience with visual scripting systems. 

  • Familiarity with DCC tools such as Maya, Blender, 3ds Max, Photoshop, Substance 3D Painter/Designer, ZBrush, or Houdini. 

  • Experience integrating source control systems (ideally Perforce) 

  • Knowledge of Python, Lua, or other scripting languages. 

  • Experience with immediate-mode GUI frameworks (e.g. ImGui) for editor/tool UI. 

  • Experience integrating with REST APIs for bug trackers such as Jira. 

  • Passion for video games and improving developer workflows.
