RESPONSIBILITIES

We are seeking an experienced and talented Senior Creature 3D Artist to join our team.
Your mission will be to create interesting, detailed, visually striking, sometimes terrifying — but always believable creatures for our new AAA IP.

  • Beyond creature modeling, you’ll be expected to take an active role in the development process, contributing to pipeline improvements, offering ideas to enhance the look and feel of characters, creatures, and the game as a whole, providing feedback and supporting your teammates wherever possible.

  • You will work closely with designers, concept artists, animators, the Art Director, and many other team members to help bring this project to life.

REQUIREMENTS

  • +4 years of experience in AAA game development as character/creature artist.

  • At least one AAA PC or console title shipped in a similar role.

  • Strong portfolio that demonstrates ability to create high-fidelity 3D creatures for the video game industry.

  • Strong knowledge of human and animal anatomy, proportions, and silhouettes, with the ability to manipulate them to achieve the desired look.

  • Exceptional attention to detail, ensuring high visual fidelity across all stages of asset creation (sculpting, modeling, texturing, and shading).

  • Excellent understanding of color theory and material properties, with the ability to recreate them using in-engine shaders.

  • Strong proficiency in industry-standard 3D modeling and texturing software (Maya/Max/Blender, ZBrush, Substance Painter, Photoshop etc).

  • Experience creating high-quality assets for real-time rendering, solid understanding of topology, materials, textures and optimization techniques.

  • Ability to collaborate closely with cross-disciplinary teams (riggers, animators, and tech artists) to ensure functional and visually compelling creatures.

  • Up to date with the latest industry trends, tools, and best practices.

  • Ability to work creatively as part of a large or small group.

  • Flexibility and resourcefulness in creating compelling creatures based on concept art and Art Director/designer descriptions.

  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently, demonstrating strong problem-solving skills and the capacity to take initiative.

  • Collaborate with the Team Lead to support the growth and development of junior artists within the studio.

  • Ability to effectively manage time to meet deadlines and project milestones.

  • Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal.

Preferences

  • Experience with game engines like Unreal or similar AAA engines.
