MANAGE THE GRAPHICS PIPELINE OF OUR NEXT-GEN PROJECT

Graphics Technical Director

RESPONSIBILITIES

We're looking for a passionate Graphics Technical Director to steer our graphics team and ensure top-tier visual fidelity and performance across platforms. You'll set the technical vision for rendering technologies and collaborate deeply with multiple disciplines to deliver stunning, state-of-the-art graphics.

  • Serve as the primary technical authority for graphics architecture and implementation.

  • Define and evolve strategies for future graphics development and pipeline efficiency.

  • Lead the design, planning, and estimation of rendering features (e.g., real-time lighting, shaders, post-processing).

  • Architect and optimize graphics systems within a AAA engine, including shader compilation, resource management, and performance tuning.

  • Spearhead the development and integration of tools for shader authoring, debugging, profiling, and asset validation.

  • Drive cross-project technical synergies for graphics modules; propose and leverage reusable graphics solutions.

  • Define detailed technical specifications and graph-related documentation for game needs.

  • Rapidly prototype visual features; evolve prototypes into production-ready implementations.

REQUIREMENTS

  • 5+ years in game development with significant involvement in graphics programming, including at least one AAA console or PC project.

  • Deep expertise in C/C++, with a focus on graphics architecture, rendering pipelines, and performance optimization.

  • Hands-on experience with modern game engines (e.g., Unreal, Unity, custom engines) and low-level graphics APIs (e.g., DirectX 12, Vulkan, Metal, OpenGL).

  • Strong knowledge of multiplatform rendering challenges and solutions.

  • Experience leading a graphics or rendering team (Lead Programmer, Graphics Engineer, or similar roles).

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.

  • Excellent mathematics skills (linear algebra, calculus) relevant to graphics programming.

  • Exceptional leadership, organization, and problem-solving abilities.

  • Proactive, driven, and capable of identifying issues and effectively executing solutions.

  • Fluent in English—clear communication is key for cross-team success.

PREFERENCES

  • Experience with advanced rendering techniques: global illumination, ray tracing, volumetric effects, reflections, shadow mapping, depth of field, etc.

  • Strong knowledge of shader programming languages (HLSL, GLSL, Metal Shading Language).

  • Familiarity with graphics profiling, optimization, and debugging tools (e.g., RenderDoc, NVIDIA NSight, GPUView).

  • Passion for pushing visual quality in games and staying at the cutting edge of graphics tech.
