PRE-VIS ARTIST / VIDEO GENERALIST

 
 

RESPONSIBILITIES

We are seeking a Pre-vis Artist / Video Generalist to join our team. The job will require working in our game engine, produce previs sequences with an emphasis on camera, staging, composition, timing and functionality of a sequence.
Refining 3D elements (both modeled and taken from game engine) and with 2D tools to illustrate ideas that represent different moments from game experience. These include environments, characters, vehicles, and action sequences. Pre-vis Artist / Video Generalist works closely with the Art Director or Creative Director to create videos that convey the look and feel of a game or experience.
Work closely with the Art Director, 3-D animation teams and members of the production team to create a memorable story through camera work, building composition and further footages edit, that will resonate with the audience.

  • Use any software and methods to create good quality still and animation renders.
  • Make pre-vis animations.
  • Create storyboards.
  • Do color correction, post-processing and color-grading of stills and animations.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Knowledge of film-making principles especially in regards to camera choices, clear staging, and continuity cutting.

  • Knowledge of cinematic language, camera terminology, and visual story-telling.

  • Advanced knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Premiere, After Effects (including Element 3D, Trapcode Suit, etc.) & Photoshop.

  • 3+ years of experience with Cinema 4D or similar by result 3D package.

  • Understanding of modelling, shaders, lighting, animation and PBR rendering (experience with Octane or Redshift renderers is a big plus).

  • Strong understanding of 3D compositing.

  • In-depth knowledge of typography and image compositing.

  • Expert understanding of digital video and audio file formats including codecs and compression/encoding.

  • Great eye for design and color.

  • Basic knowledge in color grading.

  • Good knowledge in motion design.

  • The ability to carry an idea from the conceptual phase to the finished illustration and an understanding of translating these ideas to real-time game content.

  • Fluent English (or/and Russian).

 

Preferences

  • Versatility in used tools and performed tasks.

  • Ability to use any additional software for the task.

  • Constantly learn new software and methods.

  • Visual FX experience (particles, postprocess, flares, etc).

  • Hardcore FPS gamer.

  • Game engine experience (Unity, Unreal).
