RESPONSIBILITIES

Work with Designers, Modelers, and Art Directors to bring our characters, environments and other objects to life.

  • Exceptional skill in animating the human bipedal figure as well as other organic forms
  • Able to provide hand-crafted animation

TECH ANIMATOR

 
 

RESPONSIBILITIES

Work directly with animators, designers, modelers, and programmers to deliver excellent character movements, facial animations, mechanics and cutscenes.

Work with programmers to improve toolkit, systems, establish rigging standards.

Create rigs and skinning for animated organic and mechanical objects.

Proactively come up with ideas on how to improve animation pipeline.

Troubleshoot complex problems as they arise and construct solutions to unforeseen design problems in a timely manner.

Instructing colleagues and documenting necessary information.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Understanding of realtime skinning, IK, physics limitations and possibilities.
  • Understanding of real-world kinematics and ability to replicate physical movement using a mix of simulation tools and baked skeletal animations.
  • Ability to come up and utilize skinning tricks (folded shoulders, 2-bone ropes).
  • Familiarity with mocap and hand created animations.
  • Experience with human, exotic, and mechanical characters/objects.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in rigging, animation, skinning, weighting and physics.
  • At least one shipped title on consoles.
  • Proven experience in applying modern interactive character animation techniques such as blend-trees, HFSMs, IK, and partial-body animation.
  • Excellent communicator with strong verbal and written English skills (Russian/Ukrainian is a plus).
  • Excellent problem solving and time management skills.
  • Self-direction and motivation.
  • Desire to help drive the improvement of the game engine year-over-year.

Experiment with new features

R&D DEVELOPER

 
 

RESPONSIBILITIES

We're looking for experienced programmers, or individuals with programming skills that have an eagerness to learn really fast, to join our team in Malta to work on new experimental features and R&D.


The choice of technology is not critical, whether it's an engine you prefer, or our own technologies. Since it's R&D, the "field of operation" is not entirely critical to this role - It could be physics based gameplay features, neural networks in service of gamedev, or it could be something else you come up with.

Your job will be to prototype new things, think of new approaches and try to implement the wildest ideas our game designers can possibly have.

REQUIREMENTS

  • 3+ years of professional experience
  • Proficient c++ knowledge

  • Experience with any 3D and/or game engine or experience with any known 3D modelling software (Max, Maya, Modo, Blender etc.)

  • Basic understanding of PC architecture

  • Self-drive to learn new techniques and implement them

RESPONSIBILITIES

We're looking for experienced programmers to join our team in Malta to work on an unannounced title.

We use our own in-house AAA Engine (4A Engine) and the variety of tasks for this position is quite diverse, including GUI (editor or ingame), physics, sound, architecture, gameplay, AI, graphics, animation, networking, porting to new platforms and many more.

You will support our current features, work on new ones, make better tools and, in general, work with us on making everything better until we reach absolute perfection, which is never.

  • Work directly with other IT managers to complete the below responsibilities.
  • Manage, maintain and upgrade internal network, servers, databases, version control, websites, Email, and other systems.

  • Work with HR to improve and co-own a new-hire setup process.
  • Maintain and manage development hardware, and work with 1st Party Manufacturers to replace faulty hardware when necessary, or obtain new hardware as needed for development.
